About

I’ve been has been making projects from childhood, and I’ve found I’m most often attracted towards using wood. It’s definitely my favourite medium for art. I’ve studied Civil Engineering and earned a PhD through laboratory research, which I think gives my work a unique style flavoured with science.

This Website

This website is mainly an experiment for me to try out self hosting a website, and documenting or sharing some of the more interesting things I make.

Sustainability

I try to limit my negative impacts on the world, which is a reason why I love working with timber; it’s one of the most sustainable and eco-friendly materials available, it’s very easy to shape, and is a safe and non-toxic material. I also endeavour to use perfectly good upcycled timber that was otherwise going to be discarded, it’s hard for me to ignore timber that I know is going to be sent to landfill! Additionally 100% of the energy to power my tools and equipment is sourced from renewable energy supplies.
